This holiday season, I was tasked with drawing 5 Christmas Cards for various friends. I also always design my own name tags for presents and that was a lot of fun, too. Here’s what I came up:
The bad news is: I didn’t win the contest and will, therefore, regrettably, not be able to give $250 to my fake charity, “Beaks Across America” (an imaginary cause that aims to install solar panels on birds wings so they can conserve energy). But the good news is….
A desire to be hands-on in the garage led me to sketch some Santa designs, which could then be used as a template for cutting into a plank of wood. Just a fun project to get me away from the computer.
This is a developing, late breaking story!!
Christmas may be over, but also, it’s really only about 10 months away! 😉
What I love about a tutorial is very often, I get to learn a great trick or idea that I can apply to my own designs or animations, and not just copy what someone else is making.
Desperate to publish a post on something that isn’t about Christmas, rabbits or my new haircut, I sat down to think of all the other projects I’m working on so I could report here and get you excited! Well, get prepared to be disappointed, everyone. 😐
