This holiday season, I was tasked with drawing 5 Christmas Cards for various friends. I also always design my own name tags for presents and that was a lot of fun, too. Here’s what I came up:
My holiday was filled with Christmas cheer and water painting. I made three greeting cards, two ornaments and a tree straight out of a Winnie-Pooh cartoon.
Drawing prompts are meant to induce creative thinking and hopefully, if we’re really lucky – action! I’ve seen lists of drawing prompts as long as my left leg and I always feel overwhelmed by them. I much prefer bite-sized prompts that keep my options limited and focused.
A desire to be hands-on in the garage led me to sketch some Santa designs, which could then be used as a template for cutting into a plank of wood. Just a fun project to get me away from the computer.
Tis the Season for nogging the eggs, roasting the chestnuts, stockings be hung, and Christmas thinking. The original “Christmas Thoughts” are here to brighten your spirit, and provide a hint of holiday cheer.
