2012 was dedicated to building my assets for this animation project. 2013 is dedicated to telling the story. Here’s an update for what took place in January, 2013, and here’s a hint: Not much! 😉
My Grandmothers were incredible women. They were probably polar opposites of each other, but I loved them the same. When thinking of creating a can label, I instinctively thought of my Grandma Alice.
(Mrs. Sees of See’s Candy is NOT my grandma) But she was partially my inspiration.)
Celebrating my 100th post on Catheads.net without being banned from the internet! And this post is a doozy!
Over the months, I’ve really come to appreciate the real life textures surrounding me. The marble table, the glass bottle, the chewy cookie with hot, soft chocolate chips. So how to recreate these in 3D space?
I set out to make simple, low poly tools that could be found in any wood carver’s workshop. These will hang on a peg board over a workbench and I am really amazed by the realism.
I hope you’re not tired of looking at this face! 😉
