Never one to sit still long enough and conceive an image of great detail, yet always impressed by the amount of detail applied in art by others, I have begun to face my demons. Share

This is a developing, late breaking story!! Christmas may be over, but also, it’s really only about 10 months away! Share

Twas going to be an easy going weekend. Only a few things on my “do these things” list. And because I did all of them, I am sharing one of them now with you. Share

I had been remarking that I wanted to draw more, as well as change my header image to something much more sensible. I’ve gone from a giraffe (????) to a scene from one of the greatest films ever. Am I making more sense now? Share

After having played Red Dead Redemption a few days in a row, I went into the place where I do some of my best thinking, and this is one of the things that came out of me. Share

I am so used to sitting down with a paper and pencil and drawing until something feels good enough to scan into digital format and paint. This time, using my Wacom tablet, I started sketching right in Photoshop. Share

Not exactly what you tune in to see when you dial up catheads.net, but I kinda always liked the way these pictures turned out. Share

I used to go to wildlife preserves or random trails to track down birds for photographing. Then I realized if I put a birdfeeder in my backyard, the birds would come to me. I don’t get a wide variety, but I still like what I see. Share

As I’ve been working on this Bedtime Story since 1994, you’d think I would be able to have it completed for an Easter 2011 deadline! You’re funny. You make me laugh some times. Share

“The Journal of Dr. Merd” is a short story originally written in November 2004 as a free-association piece for my collection, which I have now (for good or bad (but probably bad)) attempted to retell in an illustrated way for the purpose of sharing here. Share

I’ve been itching to create a finished project for awhile now, as well as do more digital painting. Two birds, meet one stone. Share

Originally written in February, 2004, as a free-association piece for my collection, this story lovingly titled “Miss Tiffany’s Ticket” is the first one I have ever tried to illustrate for the purpose of sharing here. Share

In search of birds, and preferably the larger kind like herons and egrets, I visited the San Juaqin Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine on Sunday, at about midday. Share

The kids were drawing squirrels one day while here at the office. I drew my own version, too. My terrible habit, which is totally psychological, is to doodle on pieces of scrap paper instead of in my brand new, awesome sketch book because what if it sucks? Then it’s in my book forever!! Share

I’ve had Twitter on my mind over the past month or so, both in terms of tweeting my random, inane thoughts directly on twitter and using it as a promotional tool for this blog on. The random, inane thoughts part works like a charm! The latter needs a few tweaks. Share

I never thought this would be easy. Or fun. But I definitely wanted to complete an animated sequence longer than 20 seconds. “Bobi and the Lollipop” is a wee bit over 2 minutes. Rendering frames is taking, currently, about 30 seconds each! Share
