Not to be negative, but I’m really starting to get tired of looking at these characters stupid faces and dealing with their problems! 😉 These face designs are not “normal” so trying to create expressions has been quite annoying.
I find it really difficult and tedious updating this journal because even though I may spend countless hours tweaking this or nudging that, it’s nearly impossible for anyone to see how much work I’ve actually done. Suffice to say, I think I’m done modeling and rigging the two main characters (although, one is never TRULY done).
Santa brought me a set of special lenses for my iPhone over the holidays last year. The set comes with a fish-eye, a wide angle and a macro lens. Each is awesome in it’s own way, but the macro lens is my favorite so far.
The Gentleman has been a royal pain in the ass, to be honest with you. I had some good concept drawings, but the sculpted versions, while interesting, were constantly deviating from my planned design – mostly to avoid replicating Bob “Mr. Incredible” Parr.
This is Entry #1 in my Production Journal for the “Three Minute Strange Theatre” animation project. Or PJ3MSTAP.
