Waterpainting Christmas

My holiday was filled with Christmas cheer and water painting. I made three greeting cards, two ornaments and a tree straight out of a Winnie-Pooh cartoon.

I hung the two ornaments on my weeping fig tree to indicate how many Christmases I’ve had it, as it was a gift in 2012. I hope to continue this tradition and keep the ornaments on the tree all year long.

Netflix is currently playing “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” and it’s a personal favorite of mine. I especially love the cross-hatching and overall style of the backgrounds. So many of the backgrounds in Disney animated movies were done with water paints and I thought I might give one a shot.

Actually, no. I’ve just looked up Etsy upon your suggestion and see how it could be an interesting opportunity. Seems like making prints at Staples or Kinkos is how many artists do it. I’d never even considered it before. Thanks for bringing it up!
