I hope you’re not tired of looking at this face!
On May 18th, I recorded voices with Mary Emfinger and Mark Mushakian for this animation project. Six months from that date, November 18th, is my deadline to have pre-production completed so I can begin animating.
I’ve done a lot of research on “Facial Expressions” lately so I could make my characters more believable. My list of expressions began to grow longer than I wanted it to. I kept some of the most important ones on the list, and they include:
Happy
Sad
Exhausted
Confused
Guilty
Angry
Frustrated
Confident
Embarrassed
Mischievous
Disgusted
Frightened
Ashamed
Smug
Cautious
Hopeful
Lonely
Surprised
Shocked
Thinking
Shouting
Blank
Pout
Ill
Serious
Silly
Annoyed
I tried to capture a few of those here, using the Christmas Witch. Can you guess which one goes with each picture? Neither can I.
The Witch model itself is almost complete. I can still be a little more creative with the costume, and I need more work on the hair and perhaps a touch more coloring in the face. But I look forward to putting this Witch away and focusing on other things.
The cottage (exterior and interior) is getting a redo. My earlier post on the outside of the cottage didn’t sit well with me because the building was too modern. I went back to the drawing board and I have something now much more fitting. Safe to say I learned quite a bit about architectural modeling – mainly that I’m not crazy about doing it.
Cheers,
I say, from top to bottom, left to right:
…………….. – Annoyed
Sad – Blank
Happy – Disgusted
Shouting – Shocked
Mischievous – Frustrated
I think they’re open to interpretation, some more than others.. but off of the list, I think they’re definable enough
Was this the easiest quiz you’ve had all semester? I should’ve thrown in some statistic questions..
