Another weekend come and gone, another holiday in the record books. Summer is done. The sun is setting sooner. It’s gonna get cold and miserable and awful. You’re gonna need something to cheer you up, friend!
If you haven’t been keeping up, I’m making an animated short film. At least, that’s what I keep telling people after they ask what I’m doing this weekend and before they roll their eyes and run away screaming.
This was never going to be easy and really, the only time it’s even fun is when I can look back at what I just created.
Mr. Brahms and Mr. Collinsworth (above) have been done for awhile, more or less. I continue to tweak and adjust. Keeping it simple and silly. Giggles.
Mr. Stockpot is a huge challenge, because there are three separate models and rigs that have to be created for him due to the transformations he goes through.
The Fairy continues to tinker, and be tinkered with. I’m close to being mostly happy with her. The hair, costume and expressions have forced me to learn different ways of modeling and rigging and shading. But, she’s a woman and therefore, needs a ton of work and I will need much therapy when this is all done.
Finally, the cast is together for the first time ever. Actually, there is one character missing.. I don’t know how much publicity he will get. But the adventure continues…
I definitely think the missing character should stay hidden until he/she/it shows up in the movie Kinda like Jaws… you don’t want to show off the monster until the end
