The kids were drawing squirrels one day while here at the office. I drew my own version, too. My terrible habit, which is totally psychological, is to doodle on pieces of scrap paper instead of in my brand new, awesome sketch book because what if it sucks? Then it’s in my book forever!!

I need to remember, my first drafts or thoughts or instincts are usually the right ones.

That is not to say this digital painting is GOLD, rather, I like the original sketch enough to want it in my sketchbook and now I would have to glue it in there or recreate it, and that usually turns out worse!

And that’s not a squirrel either.
