morning cowbell
if someone told me i would be awakened sunday morning at 7:45am by some crazy person out on the street whooping, shouting strange things and clanging a cowbell, i would have said that better not happen because i want to sleep in. and i mean it!
it happened anyway.
the orange county marathon changed it’s route this year and all the runners came down my street all morning long, ending at the fair grounds in costa mesa. lots of athletes, lots of cute girls. i probably won’t run next year, but strangely enough, i liked watching.
our friend colt is the one with the wooden spoon and the pan banging away, cheering on the runners.
the screaming woman (shown below) turned out to be really nice and funny. she kept that cowbell going for hours; her radio was looping the song “stayin’ alive”.

Also, I like that I can view the full-size image… that’s something I’ve been considering quite a bit for my site, lately.
there is a plug-in that will do a lightbox technique on pictures within the blog that i am considering implementing so one does not have to “leave” the page.
